Description / Background

A granite column with two tiled steps leading up to it. It was dedicated on 25 October 1924. On the southern side, an inscription and honour roll commemorates service in the First World War. On the northern side, names of those who served in the Second World War have been added at a later date.

The memorial is located on the median strip in front of the Frank Partridge VC Military Museum. It is flanked by two smaller memorials: the Bowraville National Servicemen Memorial and the Bowraville South East Asia, Korea and Vietnam Memorial. Also nearby is the Rats of Tobruk Association Remembrance Service Tree, Bowraville.
