Description / Background

This record describes two rolls of honour:

  1. From the former Methodist church in Eastwood: a polished wooden board, with inscription and veterans' names printed in darker timber lettering. The board is set on one of the church internal walls above a crossed Australian flag and Union Jack.
  2. From the former Presbyterian church in Eastwood: ​a rectangular brass plaque set into the facade of a memorial pipe organ. It has names and an inscription engraved, as well as an embossed laurel wreath at the top. The organ includes consul, pipes and facade.

The gift of Mr and Mrs H W Barnwell and family. Dedicated 17th May 1941.

Brass plaque:

Erected to the Glory of God and dedicated to the memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice World War II 1939 - 1945.
