Description / Background

A large piece of rock, positioned vertically, with three slabs of black stone attached to the front and one to the back, inscribed with dedications. The memorial is surrounded by four flagpoles and gardens. There are also several plaques dedicated to specific conflicts and veterans' groups, and one plaque dedicated to the horses of the First World War.

This memorial was refurbished and rededicated on 11 November 1968.

We that are left have created this memorial to commemorate those who fought for a cause and gave their lives for Australia. Lest we forget.

In memory of Vietnam 1962-1973.

In memory of the Merchant Navy and other confrontation forces.

To the spirit of Anzac. Unveiled by His Excellency the Governor Sir Dudley De Chair 6th Nov. 1936.

In memory of the Australian Lighthorses WWI (Horseshoe emblem).
