14-15th January 1945. Avro Lancaster LM234/VN-K.
Took off from RAF Skellingthorpe at 15:55. Hit by flak and crashed near Riechmannsdorf, in the heart of the Forst Riechmannsdorf, 14 km SW from Saalfeld. Those who died are buried in Berlin 1939-1945 War Cemetery. (Royal Air Force Bomber Command Losses of the Second World War 1945 by W R Chorley)
