Description / Background

Parkland with gardens dedicated to those who fell in the First World War. The gardens contain several monuments, erected at different times, to commemorate the sacrifices made in conflicts in which Australia has been involved. These monuments are largely placed in chronological order.

A marker consisting of four large rectangular rocks bearing an inscription and a Latin cross stands at the entrance facing East Street. A tablet recording the opening is located at the base of the Narrandera South African Campaign Memorial Obelisk
