Description / Background

The front end of a steam tram is enclosed within a square brickwork monument, painted white with a glass front door. A clock has replaced the single head light from the tram and is set to 11 o'clock. A large cross is positioned on top of the memorial and it has a rock garden in the front. It is illuminated at night.

Inscriptions on the back, left and right sides are partially hidden by twin pine trees planted at the rear and growing around the sides. The memorial is on the edge of the grounds of the Gordon Avenue Bus Deport and faces north onto Denision Street.
