St Peter's Church Honor Roll 1914 - 1918

Description

A rectangular wooden Honour Board with names written in gold. The board is hanging inside the church at the rear. Also within the church are plaques and a stained glass windows as memorials to soldiers. The stained glass window is to World War II.

In Loving Memory of Gunner Harrie M. Carr-Boyd
who fell in France 24th of April 1917.
Aged 28 Years and 10 Months.
Greater love hath no man than this.

(Rear Wall - Plaque)
In Memory of Sergeant E. H. Jones
4th Australian Field Ambulance
who fell gloriously on the battlefield in France
Sunday 3rd Sept 1916
While rescuing two wounded comrades.
'Greater love hath no man than this that he lay down his life for his friends'
Erected by the Officers and Men of his Section of the Ambulance.

Died of wounds, France, 24th April 1918.
Aged 35 Years.
