Veteran Notes/Bio

Mr Wood was a writer who gave his address as Huntroyd, Grey Street, Coogee, New South Wales. He enlisted on 1st of  August 1915 as a private and was promoted to corporal. He was gassed in 1918. He doesn't seem to have returned to Australia as he was originally from Birmingham, had to look after an ailing mother who lived there and was marrying a girl from that town.
