Petersham Public School Air Accident Memorial Plaques

Description

On 2 May 1945, an Airforce Mosquito aircraft exploded over Petersham. Petersham Public School erected a memorial to the aircrew in the form of plaques around the base of a flagpole.

In memory of F/Lt. David George Rochford. Result of air accident over this school. 2nd May, 1945. Erected by Petersham Public School.

Plaque 2:

In memory of L.A.C. Charles Broughton Boydell. Result of air accident over this school. 2nd May, 1945. Erected by Petersham Public School.
