This memorial commemorates the memory of
NX102964 Sgt. R.R. Rattey 25th A.I.B.
who was awarded the Victoria Cross for his
dauntless courage in the face of the enemy at
Bougainville island on 22 March 1945

Erected by the West Wyalong RSL Sub-Branch 1992
