Sister Sumner Memorial Tree Middle Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background A memorial tree and accompanying small stone with cut inscription bearing the dedication to Sister Mary Katherine (Kate) Curtain, using her maiden name. This memorial is located in the Gosford Memorial Park. She enlisted with the Australian Army Nursing Service in Tasmania in 1915 along with three of her sisters. Following her marriage, she was also known as Mrs Ronald Sumner. Her and her husband were living at Terrigal near Gosford at the time of her death in Sydney in 1932.
