St Augustine's Anglican Church Roll of Honour - Merewether


A wooden honour board with two side extensions in the shape of draping flags. All lettering is made of cut wood [raised effect] and is of a lighter shade to the back board. The names are shown in a running gilt script. In the middle, above the names, is a carved rising sun. A cross surmounts the structure.


St Augustine's Roll of Honour 1914-19 Cannon Wright, Rector (on the left 'flag') Backward to mingle is detested in war (on the right 'flag') But foremost when engaged to turn the death. (at the bottom) Unveiled Sept 1917 by Col J. L. Beeston C.M.G.
