Description

The Stuarts Point War Memorial was dedicated on 17 March 1990. Its focal point is a square brick pillar, topped with a pointed cap covered in pebblecrete. A black stone tablet is attached to the pillar, bearing a dedication to those who died serving in the First and Second World Wars. The tablet is decorated with a green laurel wreath, featuring a red flower.

Two brick walls flank the pillar. They both have multiple plaques attached for individual veterans from the two world wars, Vietnam, and peacekeeping missions in which Australia has been involved.

The pillar and walls stand on a concrete platform, paved with pebblecrete and flagstones. Two sets of stairs lead up to the platform, from the northern and southern ends. Two flagpoles stand directly behind the platform.

Planted in the grass surrounding the memorial is a rosemary bush. It is accompanied by a plaque stating it was dedicated to the 'Unknown Australian Warrior', more commonly referred to as the Unknown Soldier, on Remembrance Day, 11 November 1993.
