The Macksville Memorial Aquatic Centre now comprises an outside Olympic Pool, children's pool with waterslide, a 17 metre heated hydrotherapy/lap pool and a gymnasium.
First established as the Macksville Memorial Baths in 1927, it later had a name change to the Macksville and District Memorial Pool. It was relocated to the present site in the 1960s. The redeveloped pool at the present site was opened on 22 February 2006. It is dedicated to the servicemen and women of Macksville and District.

The re-development of the Macksville and District Memorial Pool was made possible through funding from: Commonwealth Department of Transport and Regional Services under the Regional Solutions Program, NSW Department Tourism, Sport and Recreation under the Regional Sports Facility Program, Nambucca Shire Council, and Community Donations.
The City Mutual Life Assurance Society Ltd has presented this plaque as a permanent record of its association with the following in the establishment of this Memorial Pool - Macksville District Ex-Servicemen's Club, Macksville Athletic Club, Macksville and District Community Advancement Co-op, Nambucca Shire Council, Macksville Baths Committee, Citizens of the Nambucca District.
