Description / Background

The memorial gates consist of two red-brick pillars, with marble tablets on each pillar, with a wooden lintel bearing the United Nations symbol and two rising sun emblems. The gates were erected by the family of Lt. Col. Charles Green who died of wounds in Korea on 1 November 1950.
