Walsh Memorial Park Bomaderry

Description

The main memorial consists of three large rough hewn silver grey Moruya granite blocks to symbolise the many mountain campaigns undertaken by the Army and Air Force and the mountainous seas encountered by the Navy, and commemmorate the service of personnel in all campaigns.

The sandstone forecourt is a reminder of the engagements in the desert and the evergreens in the gardens symbolise jungle campaigns. Additional memorials have been added to the Park at various times to commemmorate separate confrontations and various organisations. The main memorial is flanked on either side by walls of remembrance. Memorial rebuilt 1994 and rededicated 11 November 1994
