Description / Background

In October 2017, the Ebor Community Group Inc was awarded a 'Saluting Their Service' Commemorative Grant to establish a new war memorial to honour the Ebor and Guy Fawkes district residents who have served. The monument, which consists of a large granite stone, two plaques and a flag pole, is located in the Ebor-Guy Fawkes General Cemetery. The plaques record those who served in the First and Second World Wars, and the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Ebor is a village located on the Waterfall Way from Armidale to the coast on the Northern Tablelands. It is situated 80 kilometres east of Armidale.
