Kilcoy Presbyterian Church and Wollomombi & District WW1 Honor Rolls, Wollomombi

Kilcoy Presbyterian Church World War One Honour Roll

The Armidale Chronicle, 18 December 1918, advertised that the 'Unveiling of Honour Roll' for the Hillgrove Kilcoy Presbyterian Church was to take place at Kilcoy 11am and Wollomombi 3pm on Sunday 22 December 1921. Mr H. W. Lane M. L. A. was to unveil the honour rolls and the Mayor of Hillgrove Mr J.H. Curtis was also to attend. At the annual meeting of the Hillgrove Kilcoy Church held at the 'Wakefield' property late in January 1919, the Committee of Management reported that the main items of expenditure were three honour rolls, new furniture for new sulky and harness. The three honour rolls were unveiled at Kilcoy, Wollomombi and Hillgrove. Two of the honour rolls were moved to St John's Church at Wollomombi once the Kilcoy Kirk was decommisioned earlier this century.

At the time of the opening of St John's Church, Wollomombi, the honour rolls were located on the northern wall of the new church.
