HMAS Wagga Roll of Honour Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background The memorial is a paper honour roll enclosed in a timber frame. It is dedicated to departed HMAS Wagga shipmates. HMAS Wagga was a Royal Australian Navy Bathurst class minesweeper. She was launched on 25 July 1942 and served in the Second World War, primarily in New Guinea waters. She served in the 1950s as a training ship for Naval Reservists and National Service trainees. In 1960, she was the last of the Bathurst class to leave Australian service before being scrapped in 1962. It is uncertain who compiled the list and when it was placed in the small military museum at the Wagga Wagga Civic Centre Council Chambers.
