Description / Background

The memorial is a timber roll of honour, encased in a timber cabinet with two glass panels on the front. The roll lists men from the Picton Railway Department who were killed on active service in the First World War. Their names are painted in gold, alongside their occupation. The inscription at the top of the board is also painted in gold, and the letters are highlighted with black borders. The memorial was possibly designed or made by NSW Government Railways and may have been originally displayed at Picton Railway Station, NSW.

The roll forms part of the Transport Heritage NSW movable heritage collection. It is in storage at an offsite location and is not accessible to the public.
