The rock is positioned upright, standing on a concrete slab. Flanking the memorial are two silhouette sculptures of buglers. The roll itself is made of a black stone. The names of those who served are inscribed into its surface and gilded. The list also includes five people who volunteered for the First World War, but were not accepted. This is an uncommon inclusion on war memorials. The memorial roll is located in the Tooraweenah Second World War Memorial Recreation Ground.
