Description / Background

The memorial is a Lone Pine seedling planted on the side of the lagoon located north of the Wagga Wagga Victory Garden. 

Two plaques are situated on a bush rock at the base of the tree. One plaque gives details of the planting of the Lone Pine seedling by A H Seccombe, DCM, of the 4th Battalion AIF on 25 April 1970, in memory of those who were lost at Gallipoli. The second plaque gives details of the Aleppo Pine (Pinus Brutia) grown in the Jubilee Year 1965.
