Description / Background

This 'Australia Remembers' plaque is attached to a bushrock memorial at Bundarra Central School. The memorial was unveiled at the school on 9 November 1996 by Mrs A. K. Taylor, Women's Service Councillor of the RSL of Australia, NSW Branch. There is also a smaller plaque detailing the unveiling.

These plaques were part of a number of activities developed by the Federal Government to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

The photograph was provided by Wayne Hoppe of the Armidale Family History Group.
