2020 marks 75 years since the end of the Second World War. To commemorate this important year, the NSW Government interviewed WWII veterans about their experiences. Read our 75th Anniversary Stories.
Two bronze Honour Rolls are attached to the marble walls at the far end of the ground floor banking chamber in the Commonwealth Bank of Australia building. The first is in honour of staff of the Government Savings Bank of NSW who served in the First World War and the second in honour of Rural Bank of NSW staff who died in the Second World War.
First World War Honour Roll
In honour of the officers of the Government Savings Bank of NSW who served in the Great War 1914-1918.
In memory of those members of staff who gave their lives in the cause of the Allies and in honour of all staff who took part in the Great War 1914-1918.
