Description

This large timber honour roll with two wings, lists those who came from the Gladstone district who served in World War One and Two.

On Monday 21 April 1918 a concert was held in the Gladstone School of Arts Hall with the proceeds to be devoted to the names of the Methodist men who enlisted in both World Wars.

The Macleay Argus, 11 July 1941 described the unveiling of the Honour Roll in the Methodist Church. The monument made of solid polished maple contained two removable panels of Gothic design. It was made by Frank Kneipp of Belgrave Street, Kempsey with 59 names and was unveiled by Mrs Williams of Yarrahappini who had four brothers in WW1 and two sons in WW2.
