Description / Background

The Cameron Uniting Memorial Church contains several Second World War memorials.

A stained glass window dedicated to the men and women who served was unveiled on 12 November 1950, at the Remembrance Day service. The unveiling was performed by Mrs J. M. McDonald and the memorial was handed over to the church by Mr Angus Mott. It was dedicated by the minister of the church, the Reverend J. M. McDonald. The central figure is an 'Angel of Peace' with a sword and shield at her feet with doves of peace hovering above. The colouring consists of shades of blue and purple with a background of red wings. Underneath are an inscription and the emblems of the Royal Australian Navy, the Australian Imperial Force and the Royal Australian Air Force.

Two simple marble tablets dedicated to individual servicemen are located below the window.
