Inscription

"Semper Paratus Defendere"

In thanksgiving to God and in grateful memory of the men and women who lost their lives while serving in war or in peace in the THIRD QUEENLANDS, the KENNEDY REGIMENT, 1886-1903

and all of its successor units

1904-1918: The Kennedy Infantry Regiment

1915-1919: 1/31st, Australian Infantry Battalion, (AIF)

1919-1943: 31st Battalion, Kennedy Regiment

1940-1946: 2/31st Australian Infantry Battalion. (AIF)

1943- 1946: 31/51st Australian Infantry Battalion. (AIF)

1948-1950: 3st Battalion, The North Queensland Regiment

1950-1960: 3st Battalion, the Kennedy Regiment

1960-1965: C Company, the Kennedy Company, 2 Royal Queensland Regiment

1965-1976: 31st independent Rilfe Company, Royal Queensland Regiment

1986-: 31st Battalion the Kennedy Battalion, Royal Queensland Regiement
