Description / Background

The memorial is a separate, external shrine room within the Leeton Soldiers Club complex. It features three niches, one each for the Navy, Army and Air Force. The niches contain marble plaques listing the names of Second World War veterans who gave their lives while serving in each branch. In the centre of the room is glass-topped table, which contains three books of remembrance for those who served in each of the branches and other historical material.

In addition, there is a separate stainless steel plaque in remembrance of Sgt. Walter E Brown VC, DCM, attached to the metal railing in front of the Army niche.
