Description / Background

Construction of this War Memorial Pool was part of the government's policy of constructing some 70 swimming pools through NSW. The residents of Murrurundi and district constructed this pool which was opened on 10 March 1971.

These baths were officially opened by The Hon Davis Hughes M.L.A. Minister for Public Works on 10th March 1971.

Plaque 2 at the front entrance

These baths were built by the residents of Murrurundi and district and dedicated to the memory of all ex-service men and women of the Murrurundi Shire.
