Two marble tablets, detailing the name, enlistment month, year and the Brigade the man was attached to on enlistment. A star next to their name denotes 'Killed'. The tablets are surrounded by relief sculptures of hoses and firefighting equipment. The Union Jack and Australian Red Ensign surmount the memorial. The words 'Our Heroes' surrounded by a wreath are inscribed between the flags. The memorial was constructed by Meldrum and Markey.
