It was decorated with a crown and Union Jack and Australian flags and the words 'Lest We Forget' above, and a laurel wreath encircling the Roll of Honour banner.

It was produced by Eveleigh Locoworks staff after the WWII Honour Roll was unveiled, apparently to consolidate the names on various Locoworkshops Honour Rolls, and it was unveiled by Works Manager AC Bell at Eveleigh on 10 November 1964.

After the closure of the Locoworks in 1989, it was relocated and fixed to the eastern Railway Remembrance Wall at Central Station.
