Description / Background

A substantial building opened in1957 and dedicated as a war memorial hall on 11 September 1971. On the front wall of the adjoining yellow-brick Pioneer Memorial Centre is a brass honour roll honouring ex-service men and women. In front of this is a black-stone obelisk, positioned on a yellow-brick column, with a brass plate attached. The obelisk was unveiled on 25 April 2004.

in memory of all who served.
