Description / Background

The memorial is a stone obelisk, positioned on a concrete base and surrounded by a white iron fence. A stone honour roll for the First World War and a small brass plaque are attached to the body of the obelisk.

Rosewarne Public School was situated on the Quia Road, Gunnedah. The memorial was moved to South Street, Gunnedah, circa 1998, due to the school's closure many years before. The memorial is located behind the Water Tower Museum.
