Description / Background

Large stained glass window dedicated to three soldiers who fell during the First World War. Two brass plates are located nearby. One bears the dedication and the other details the establishment of the memorial. 

Inscription

Plaque 1

The Eastern window was erected by their parents to the memory of E.L. Callan J. Cooney Owen O'Mara who were killed in action 1914 - 1917 R.I.P.

Plaque 2

”St John with the Virgin Mother at the Cross on Calvary”

Stained glass window created by Mark Hill, was installed at the eastern end of the church in 1973

Donated by Father O’Hurley, Vicq Family and David Honner in memory of their deceased relatives
