Description / Background

This war memorial is a grey granite obelisk, positioned on top of a three-level granite base. The original dedication to those who served in the First World War is inscribed on the top level. Attached to the sides of the memorial are several tablets bearing honour rolls for the Boer War and the First and Second World Wars. 

On either side of this memorial are the Wanganella and District Second World War and Vietnam Honour Rolls. Please see this listing for the names of the Second World War veterans recorded on the obelisk.
