Description / Background

This war memorial is a Lone Pine tree, planted in a garden bed behind the Deniliquin Cenotaph in Waring Gardens in Deniliquin, NSW. It is surrounded by a protective fence and is accompanied by a plaque on a low plinth.

The original Lone Pine was replaced due to disease and damaged. This new pine was grown from a seedling (2nd generation) from the original pine tree and nurtured by the current Deniliquin RSL sub-Branch President Dom Ward OAM.
