Description / Background

This large stained glass window, dedicated to those who served in is the Second World War is located on the eastern side of the Glen Innes Holy Trinity Church.

In August 1946, the full drawings of the window were received from the firm of John Ashwin and Co. and parishioners were asked for comment. Work began in November the same year. Designed by John Radecki, the window depicts the Crucifixion, the cross, and figures representing all fighting forces including a nurse and servicemen. The memorial was dedicated by Bishop Moyes of Armidale on Sunday 8 December 1946.
