Bingara 2/18 Battalion 8th Division Memorial Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background This war memorial is a rare example of a canvas poster made by Prisoners of War in a Singaporean camp during the Second World War. It features a message from the prisoners to the Australian public at home, but it is unknown who brought it to Bingara, NSW. The poster is surrounded by a bamboo frame that was made by a member of the Bingara Historical Society Museum, where it is housed. The museum is also known as the Bingara Military Museum.
