This impressive honour roll is for employees of the Burns Philp Company who served in the First World War. It is located in the vestibule of their former offices in Bridge Street, Sydney.
The memorial consists of six white marble tablets, upon which some 200 names are inscribed and highlighted in gold. The six are divided into two lots of three, which face each other across the space. The names are grouped under location headings, such as Head office, Melbourne, and Brisbane, possibly indicating where the employee was based before enlisting.
The rolls were unveiled on 16 July 1919 by Governor-General Sir Ronald Munro Ferguson.
