The memorial is a large honour roll for the First World War. It is surrounded by a simple timber frame and has a glass front. The names are set out using individual gold letters, which are attached to a black backing board. They are listed across six columns and are not in alphabetical order. There are 280 names listed and those who were killed in action are marked with a gold star.
The memorial is located in the foyer of the Coffs Harbour Ex-servicemen and Women's Memorial Club. Access to it is restricted to the opening hours of the club.
