Dedicated to the memory of our glorious dead
The Coolamon War Memorial was constructed in 1922 and was funded by community subscriptions. The Memorial was officially dedicated by Brigadier General C.F. Cox CB, CMG, DSO, VD a Gallipoli Veteran and Senator in the Federal Parliament.
In 2007 a Department of Veterans Affairs grant funded a project to illuminate the War Memorial. Additional funding for the project was provided by the Coolamon Heritage and Advancement Society. The lighting of the War Memorial was marked by the attendance of the Federal Member for Riverina the Honourable Kay Hull MP.
