Hoskinstown War Memorial Hall Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background The Hoskinstown War Memorial Hall was built on land donated by the Hyles family during the 1920s to remember and commemorate the local men who served and died in the First World War. Hoskinstown is a small village located between Captain's Flat and Bungendore, New South Wales. The hall is clad with corrugated iron that was donated by local families and the frames were made from locally milled timber. The hall was officially opened on 20 July 1928 with a dance attended by over 100 couples and has been the focal point for this small community since. The Hall is now part of Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council's community facilities and is managed by a volunteer committee on the council's behalf. The hall remains a pivotal social centre for this small community. Inscription Exterior Sign HOSKINSTOWN WAR MEMORIAL HALL Veterans listed on this memorial Do you know more about this war Memorial?
