This war memorial is a traditional triumphal arch with brown marble dedication and name plaques attached for the First World War. Honour roll names and anniversary plaques for the Second World War have been added at a later date.
The arch is located in Hindmarsh Park. Nearby are several bushrock memorials and the Gordon Grellman Wall of Remembrance, which includes numerous plaques for individual service men and women.

This Memorial Arch was unveiled by the Honourable Sir George Fuller K.C.M.G. Premier Of N.S.W. April 25 1925
This Memorial has been erected by the residents of Kiama to the Glory of God And in grateful recognition of the sacrifice of those who from this district served in the Great War 1914-1918
