Murwillumbah High School Second World War Roll of Honour Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background An ornately decorated bronze roll of honour for the Second World War located in the Murwillumbah High School foyer. The Tweed Daily on 6 March 1947 reported the school was ready to finalise the list of names of ex-students who had served. The names were to be displayed in A. E. Budd and Sons and A. E. Woods' windows for review, amendments and last submissions. The school had also planned a film projector unit, a public address system and an avenue of trees as part of their war memorial. The whole was almost completed by early October 1947 (Tweed Daily, 8 Oct 1947). The memorial also included various plaques and the unveiling ceremony took place on Saturday 8 November 1947.
