This large timber honour roll is dedicated to the young men from the former Tamworth Presbyterian Hostel who served in World War II. It has classical features associated with other Honour Rolls. Once associated with the Tamworth Presbyterian Church, it is now located within the Tamworth City Uniting Church complex.
The Presbyterian Church established a number of boarding hostels that provided accommodation for boys throughout NSW so that they could attend local High Schools. Some hostels were established at Dubbo, Wagga, Parkes, Glen Innes and Stanmore. In time, they closed as boarding schools were established in country areas as well as boarding hostels established by the NSW Department of Education.
