The memorial has since been updated to include alumni who died whilst on active service during the Vietnam War. Two of the three architects, Alan Nangle and Fredick Rice, were themselves old Trinitarians. The foundation stone of the chapel was laid on 11 November 1956 by The Right Reverend G A Chambers OBE, DD, who had founded the school in 1913. The chapel was dedicated and officially opened one year later on 10 November 1957 by the Most Reverend H W K Mowll CMG, DD - the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney. The chapel was financed by publically donated funds, with many students, staff, parents and friends of the school contributing. A roll of honour board has been erected inside the chapel above the main doorway (underneath the Australian flagpole). The current plaque is in landscape format and lists the names of the 42 alumni who died whilst on active service in the Second World War and the two alumni who died whilst on active service in the Vietnam War. Although there has been a plaque in this same location throughout the chapel's history, it has been updated twice. The original version was a portrait format plaque with 32 names listed on it; whilst the second version added one additional Second World War veteran as well as the names of the two Vietnam veterans.
