Research resources: The RUSI Library at the Anzac Memorial, Hyde Park

Have you heard of the RUSI Library? Located at the Anzac Memorial, Hyde Park, the RUSI Library is an important military history library, with an estimated 30,000 items.

RUSI stands for The Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies. Their library focuses on military history, national security, and defence matters. Their collection also includes histories of the Australian Army, Royal Australian Navy, and Royal Australian Air Force.

The library has an easy-to-use online catalogue, and they recommend researchers use it to search the collection before coming on site. Once you've found your materials, email the team so they can have the items ready for when you come in.

Access to the library is free for members of the Institute, but visitors are welcome. Please note, lending rules apply.
