Description / Background

Attached to the front of the cement block memorial is a bronze plaque with the words “Lest we forget”. On the reverse side of the memorial, a second bronze plaque reads “Lest we forget. We who are left have erected this monument as a memorial to commemorate those who fought for a cause and gave their lives for it.”

The memorial is dedicated to all service personnel in all conflicts.

Between the well kept gardens and the back of the memorial stands a six metre high flag pole. The Australian flag is raised and lowered every day.

Aminya residents, visitors and staff can commemorate all the significant days of the calendar without leaving their complex.
