Black stone obelisk with gold engraved lettering. There are also four archival photographs attached to the sides:

  • On the north face, there is a view of a mine.
  • On the west face, there is a view of mine workings.
  • On the south face, there is a view of the jetty and a coal ship run aground.
  • On the east face, there is a view of the jetty.
