Commonwealth Bank of Australia Honour Rolls, Martin Place
Two bronze Honour Rolls are attached to the marble walls at the far end of the ground floor banking chamber. The first is in honour of staff of the Government Savings Bank of NSW who served in WW1 and the second in honour of Rural Bank of NSW staff who died in WW2.
In honour of the officers of the Government Savings Bank of NSW who served in the Great War 1914-1918. In memory of those members of staff who gave their lives in the cause of the Allies and in honour of all staff who took part in the Great War 1914-1918. 1939-1945 In memory of the staff of the Rural Bank who gave their lives in the Second World War. We will remember them.
